This is a stunning pen. The attention to detail is evident, from the gorgeous abalone shell to the finial. And it writes like a dream!

The Bamaluz shell pen ( Cornish cove ) writes excellently as you might expect but it also looks unique. The resin contains shells that when you look closely you can see the gaps in the shells where at one time creatures would have lived. The colours are what you would expect from a beach / sea environment which is what I wanted. Another brilliant example of a top class fountain pen from Silver Burl.

Couldn’t be more pleased with the gorgeous Silverburl pen made from a Jonathan Brooks Primary Manipulation 4 blank. This is my second pen from John Sanderson and it sits proudly next to the Mystic Sucker Punch (also Jonathan Brooks blank) I purchased from him. Silverburl pens are beautifully made. I’m sure this won’t be my last pen from them!

I spotted this pen in Truro Cathedral where Silverburl had a stall, and had to think about three seconds before buying one.

Two pens ordered and two delivered and they have both exceeded all expectations. They were given as gifts, one to a published poet, the other to a close relative. Both recipients were extremely pleased. One can't ask for more!

I have to confess when my pen first arrived it wasn’t quite the colour I was expecting from the photos but It has grown on me and I love it even more than what I thought it was going to be. So many different colours in different light. And the best bit is that this pen writes. And I mean writes. I write for an hour at a time and quick fast and it doesn’t miss a beat. Until I have to refill my ink. I love this pen and would highly recommend them to anyone.

Once again another breathtaking piece from John. As per normal the quality is second to none, the silver trim is beautiful and the red celluloid material is stella.
The pen is fairly large and girthy which is perfect for my preferences, very comfy to hold and it writes superbly. Very beautiful and impressive oversized pen.

I don't consider myself to be a pen expert, but it was easy to see that the pen I received is well-crafted. It looks exactly as it appeared in the pictures, which is to say, beautiful. John was great about guiding me through the process, suggesting a pen that he felt matched my aesthetics. He was also extremely accommodating with my general questions, providing detailed responses. All in all, a very satisfying experience in terms of both the craftsmanship and customer interaction. It was the internet equivalent of a brick-and-mortar experience!

The Fire Agate resin is lovely with just a hint of sparkle. The body shape of the nonagon is very comfortable even for long writing sessions. As usual the fit and finish of the pen is faultless as is the writing straight out of the box. Another excellent pen from John.

Ordered a beautiful pen for our son's 50th birthday present. Delivered quickly and efficiently and was just what we wanted and expected. We know that he will be thrilled. He loves using a fountain pen and will really appreciate this very special one.

I wanted a pen with a bit of shine and sparkle and the diamond cast metal composite certainly had that. As usual johns pen was perfectly finished and wrote flawlessly out of the box. Another gem from Silver Burl.
